How to Use Produce One Plus

Credit

  • Unless credit already has been established with Union Pacific Railroad, UPDS requires that a credit application be completed prior to conducting business. Contact our Finance Department with questions at 1-800-262-0718.

Shipper

  • Advise your supplier/shipper that you want your perishables to move via the "ONE PLUS" network using a designated "ONE PLUS" transload facility.
  • Provide a copy of the loading manifest to the transloader on the same day railcar is loaded and released.
  • Delivery information must be provided to the destination transload facility. This must include the final delivery information: Receiver Name, Address, Phone, Contact Name.
  • Freight Payor must be included with the delivery information, which includes a Contact Name, Address, Phone number, PO number, and specific instructions for product handling.
  • When delivery information and freight payor information is not provided, additional costs may be incurred and will be the responsibility of the freight payor.

Billing Rail Cars Under Transload Bill of Lading

  • The Transload Bill of Lading (TBOL) is designed for integrated rail-truck or truck-rail shipments. It is required in place of the standard Union Pacific Bill of Lading when UPDS is invoicing for the entire shipment including transloading.
  • TBOL is a step-by step process that permits customers to include all required pick-up and delivery information in order for UPDS to track shipments, communicate shipment information in advance to rail carriers and transloaders, and properly invoice for the entire shipment.
  • Like UPRR's Bill of Lading customers, TBOL customers can save repetitive shipping patterns. The Transload Bill of Lading goes further by allowing customers to save patterns that include trucking.
