Transload Registration

Thank you for your interest in registering your transload facility with Union Pacific Distribution Services! At UPDS, we strive to develop mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers. We are interested in identifying warehouse and transload facilities served by Union Pacific Railroad or its connecting rail carriers that enable UPDS, UPRR and its customers to develop carload-based distribution solutions.

To facilitate the application process, please review and complete the following:

1. Facility Profile Form ()
2. Master Contract for Transload and Dray Services () or Dray (Only) Services ()

In general, we require the following (the words in the Master Contracts above supersede what's below):

1. Execute a Transload/Drayage Agreement and provide evidence of insurance at the following levels:
   
   1. Commercial General Liability Insurance
      1. If operating on UP Railroad property: $5,000,000 each occurrence or claim $10,000,000+ in aggregate and include broad form contractual liability coverage.
      2. If operating on non UP property: $3,000,000 each occurrence or claim, $5,000,000 in aggregate
      3. Must include broad contractual liability coverage.
   2. Business Automobile coverage (including but not limited to coverage for bodily injury and property damage and any and all motor vehicles including owned, hired and non-owned: $5,000,000 per occurrence
   3. Workers Compensation & Employers Liability (Part B) with limits of at least $500,000 each accident, $500,000 disease policy limit, $500,000 each employee
   4. Bailee Liability insurance equal to the replacement costs of the property and covering all risks of physical loss or damage to property of others in the Contractor's care, custody and control.
   5. Motor Truck Legal Liability insurance equal to the replacement costs of the property and covering all risks of physical loss or damage to property of others in the Contractor's care, custody and control. (Only when providing Trucking Services)
   6. Additional requirements and endorsements
2. If operating on Railroad property, transloader must provide evidence of valid signed track and/or property lease.
3. Submit Tax ID, a copy of a blank invoice and location where payments shall be sent.
